About Us.
RMLA senior staff have been practicing in the Irish planning system for 20 years during which time they have developed long standing relationships with a range of private sector clients including national retailers and developers.

Working across a range of sectors from retail/commercial to residential, our staff have extensive experience of working with estate and property managers in the provision of planning consultancy advise across entire estates. We thus understand the administrative and operational requirements of large corporate firms.
Our staff have extensive experience of managing and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and have worked on major projects in both the public and private sectors. Through our work we have developed good working relationships with other professional practices including award winning architectural practices, engineering firms and conservation experts.

RMLA staff have also worked on behalf of Local Authorities across Ireland in the preparation of strategic, spatial and economic plans. We are also at the forefront of the implementation of the Town Centre First Policy Approach, managing the preparation of some of the first Town Centre First Plans in the Country including for Tullow on behalf of Carlow County
Council and for Clara on behalf of Offaly County Council.
RMLA is also unique in that we offer a range of complimentary services with Team members specializing in the areas of economic and business case advice and funding advice. Our staff have prepared successful URDF funding applications under both Call 1 and Call 2 that have secured c. €38 million in funding to date, with the majority of funding secured for the delivery of projects from the spatial, strategic, and economic plans that our staff produced. The RMLA team continues to support the delivery of these projects, preparing Preliminary Business Cases and Gate 2 Reports as well as providing similar business case advice to other Local Authorities, required to ensure compliance with the Public Spending Code and the delivery of funding.
On all projects, our Team works closely with the client, from feasibility to the design stage to delivery on site. We guide our clients through all stages of the planning process from managing the preparation of the planning applications and environmental impact assessments, to appeals and oral hearings with An Bord Pleanála, to discharging conditions for compliance. We take time to get to know our clients and understand their needs and operational requirements so that we can deliver a bespoke service. The success of our client-focused approach is demonstrated by the long-term working relationship we have with many of our clients, some of which span 20 years.
